Children's Ministry

The Children's Ministry serves to help the children of the church grow in their relationships with others and with Christ. The children are exposed to play, music, art, stories, and the concept of mission every Sunday to help them learn the walk of the Christian faith.

Sunday school classes are provided for the children in Pre-K through 12th grade and meet on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:15 am. The Sunday school classes use the Whole People of God curriculum which follows along with the scripture readings used in the worship service.

Child care is provided for children birth through 3 years old. Two full time workers will engage the young children in play and story time. The 4 year olds and those up through 4th grade are invited to come to the educational wing for Children's Chapel.

During Children's Chapel, the children learn about the Old Testament Stories, the life of Jesus, the Fruits of the Spirit and other value lessons to help them interact with others as Jesus did. We also have a great play ground where the children can play and enjoy the outside in a safe way. Throughout the year, the children make crafts which they sell in November to raise money for their hands-on mission project of adopting a family for Christmas.

As the 4th Graders prepare to "graduate" from Children's Chapel they attend a special class where they begin to gain a deeper understanding of the different elements of worship. Lessons are developed around growth in faith, the books of the Bible, and the understanding of the prayers and creeds used in the worship service. Entering 5th Grade, the children receive a study Bible as they "graduate" from Children's Chapel, and then remain in worship with their parents.

Vacation Bible Camp 2012

Kick-off meeting will take place immediately following the worship service on Sunday February 26th. Volunteers are needed for many different job positions. Please plan to join them. Contact Heidi Saylor or Laura Garza if you plan to volunteer but are unable to attend the first meeting.
